INDIANAPOLIS – Potentially the biggest matchup for the Jags to this point in the season, the IUPUI women's basketball team (18-7, 8-4) will host first-place South Dakota State (19-5, 10-2) Saturday afternoon (Feb. 11) at 3 p.m. EST in the Jungle.  With four games remaining for the season, the Jags have the potential to substantially improve their standings for the Summit League Tournament. 
 
The last time the Jags faced the Jackrabbits was in Brookings, South Dakota, as SDSU ran away with a 49-68 decision, the final game in a season-worst three-game losing streak.  The Jaguars, currently sitting in fourth-place in the Summit League standings, will face the top-two teams in the Summit League at home over their final four games in the form of both South Dakota State and South Dakota.
 
Averaging 67 points per game on a .435 shooting percentage, Danielle Lawrence has led the offensive charge this season with 16 points per game.  Mikale Rogers is logging 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest, while also swatting a Summit League second-best 59 blocks.  The Jags .391 showing from three-point distance ranks amongst the best in the Summit League.
 
The Jackrabbits are averaging 70.3 points per game while shooting .439 from the field.  Defensively, the Jags and Jacks account for the top-two scoring defenses in the Summit League, as the teams average 56.9 and 58.7 points against, respectively.  The Jackrabbits have held opponents to a League-low .381 clip, and are tied for second-best with a +4.1 turnover margin.  In their most recent game, South Dakota State blew out Oral Roberts 82-35 at home.
 
A completely different team at home than on the road, the Jags sport an impressive 10-2 record this season when playing in the Jungle or the Coliseum.  The team has a spotless 5-0 record against Summit League opponents, and have upped their scoring average to 73.7 points per game.  The team averages just 60.9 points in away games.  Lawrence has led the team with 18.3 points per game as the team shoots .460 when dawning the white jerseys.  IUPUI owns a +19.5 scoring margin at home.
