BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Following a promising start to the meet, the IUPUI women's tennis team (0-3) just came up short in their dual-meet with Bowling Green (1-1) Friday (Jan. 27), falling to the Falcons 3-4.  The Jags secured the doubles point early, but couldn't secure the victory in singles play.
 
The Jags picked up victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles spots, as Sara Sherif and Mariella Pessina won their set 6-3.  The No. 3-spot victory came on a walkover, as the Falcons surrendered the point on an absent team.
 
In singles play, Sherif continued her fine afternoon, winning a lengthy battle at the No. 2-spot, 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6).  The only other singles victory came as Molly Nguyen picked up a walkover victory at the No. 6-spot. 
 
With the loss, the Jags will look to Saturday (Jan. 28) against Western Michigan as another opportunity to pick up their first dual-meet win of the season.
