INDIANAPOLIS – IU Indianapolis closed out its regular season on Saturday afternoon, falling 5-2 to Milwaukee at the West Indy Racquet Club.
The Jaguars wrapped up the regular season with a strong showing in doubles play, capturing the point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. The tandem of Kally Kadzinski and Elle Kotre set the tone with a 6-3 victory, while Calli Sokolowski and Sara Jankovic followed with a 6-4 win to give IU Indy the early 1-0 advantage.
In singles action, Sokolowski provided one of the highlights of the day for the Jaguars, earning a straight-sets win at No. 3 with a 6-3, 6-4 decision.
IU Indy battled throughout the lineup, including a tightly contested match at No. 4 where Chloe Bailey pushed her opponent to three sets, and a hard-fought effort from Elle Kotre at No. 5 that also went the distance. However, Milwaukee ultimately secured the remaining points to claim the 5-2 victory.
With the regular season now complete, the Jaguars will shift their focus to the Horizon League Championships, where they will look to build on Saturday's doubles momentum and make a postseason push.
