INDIANAPOLIS – On the heels of a crucial victory Thursday (Jan. 19), the IUPUI women's basketball team (13-6, 3-3) will quickly return to the court Saturday (Jan. 21) at 7 p.m. EST in the Jungle as the Jags host North Dakota State (5-14, 3-3) in another top-tier Summit League matchup.  The Jags have climbed back into the top-half of the Summit League standings with the Thursday victory.

On the year, the Jags are averaging 67.2 points per game while shooting .430 from the field.  Danielle Lawrence leads the team with a 15.2 points-per-game average, fresh off a 29-point performance against Oral Roberts.  Mikale Rogers continues to be one of the most dominant centers in the Summit League, logging 42 blocks for the season and averaging 13.5 points per game.  Sydney Hall has shot .484 from three-point range and averages 10.8 points.

Despite a turbulent non-conference schedule, the Bison have rebounded since the start of Summit League play, picking up three victories in six contests.  Of their key wins, the highlight victory came against South Dakota, as the Bison knocked off the reigning WNIT Champions 83-73 in Fargo, North Dakota.  Currently, the team has lost back-to-back games against Western Illinois and Omaha, and will face the Jags Saturday before a rematch with South Dakota next week.  For the season, NDSU is averaging 67.3 points per game, while shooting .393 as a team.  The Bison average more than 40 rebounds per game and own a +2.4 rebound margin for the season.  Turnovers have hurt North Dakota State, as the team averages more than 16 turnovers per game and have a -3.6 turnover margin.

All-time against one another, the Jags own an 11-9 record, last facing the Bison on Feb. 12 of last season.  In that game, the Jags won a nail-biter on the road, 64-63.  Lawrence had 21 points, while Rogers added a double-double effort with 15 points and 11 rebounds.  The Jags won their home bout with the Bison last season, 67-44.
