YORKTOWN, Ind. - The IUPUI women's golf team sits 11th of 16 teams after two rounds at this week's Ball State Cardinal Classic, being played at The Players Club in Yorktown. IUPUI carded rounds of 307 and 313 on Monday (Sept. 19). Eastern Kentucky leads the field at 4-over 580 and is followed by Toledo (589), Western Michigan (589), host Ball State (596), Northern Illinois (600) and Bradley (600).

Tuesday's final round is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m..

IUPUI was solid throughout round one, paced by junior Aneta Abrahamova's opening round 74. The Slovakian mixed four bogeys with two birdies en route to the team's best round of the first 18. Sophomore Lindsey Hackleman carded a 77 and both MeKenzie Hilsmeyer and Erin Ingram shot 78.

"Coach (Cramer) really helped me a lot this week, focusing on hitting my irons solid and it definitely helped throughout the round," Hackleman said. "I've also played this course a lot so it was very familiar to come back to."

In the afternoon, Hilsmeyer led the way at 2-over 74 and Abrahamova shot 3-over 75. Lindsey Budnik, Hackleman and Ingram all carded final round 82's.

Abrahamova is tied for 16th overall at 5-over 149 and Hilsmeyer is tied for 29th at 152.

EKU's Elsa Moberly leads the 90-player field at 3-under 141 and Ball State's Sydney Anderson is second at 2-under 142.
