WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The IUPUI women's golf team turned in a final round 305 to move up a spot on Monday (Sept. 12) at the William & Mary Invite at Kingsmill Resort's River Course. Senior MeKenzie Hilsmeyer led the way with a season-best 73 and junior Aneta Abrahamova shot 76 on the tournament's final day. 

Seton Hall leapfrogged their way to the top of the final standings at 901, edging second-place Georgetown by five strokes. UNC Greensboro (912), Richmond (913) and UNC Wilmington (921) capped the tourney's top five. 

Abrahamova closed the event tied for sixth overall at 225 (73-76-76) and Hilsmeyer was 19th at 231 (78-80-73). Hilsmeyer made three birdies on Monday and fared especially well on the course's par-3's. 

"This week my ball striking was great. It felt great to be confident and fire at the flags," Hilsmeyer said. "Kingsmill was a great course for the team to play. It hosts an LPGA event every year. Today's pins included a lot of those pin locations. All of the Lady Jags had some highlights from this that we plan to carry over into our next two tournaments at Ball State and Butler."

Senior Lindsey Budnik posted a final round 77 and Erin Ingram shot 79 to cap the scoring four. Sophomore Lindsey Hackleman rounded out the lineup at 90. 

Ingram finished her tournament at 235 (79-77-79) and Budnik closed at 239 (79-83-77). 

The top-10 finish was the 11th of Abrahamova's three-year career.

IUPUI will return to action on Sept. 19-20 at the Cardinal Classic at the Players Club in Yorktown, Ind..
