Full Results (.html)LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IUPUI men's tennis team put up a solid fight, but was unable to muster a point as the Jaguars fell at Louisville, 7-0 inside Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Friday morning (Mar. 11). The Jags slid to 3-15 on the spring season while Louisville improved to 8-7.
IUPUI locked horns with the Cards in doubles play first, but yielded the initial point as the hosts captured wins at Nos. 1 and 3. The freshman duo of
Patrick McAuley and
Matt Moe had an early lead in their match at No. 3, but ultimately fell 6-3. The pair of
David Beasley and
Akshay Verma trailed 5-3 at No. 2 doubles when the point was decided.
In singles play, Louisville captured all six matches in straight sets to improve to 7-2 at home this season.

Kyle Whittaker put up the best showings of the bunch with Verma falling to UofL's Brandon Lancaster 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3. Whittaker lost his match by a 7-5, 6-1 score at No. 4. Senior
Louis Sacks dropped his decision at No. 6 singles to the Cardinals' Courtney Lock, 6-2, 6-3.
IUPUI will continue south to Hilton Head, S.C., for Spring Break, including playing a pair of matches on Monday (Mar. 14). The Jaguars will face Thomas (Maine) College at 8:00 a.m. and will follow that with a match versus Asbury (Ky.) College at 5:00 p.m..
