Photo GalleryINDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's tennis team lost to Valparaiso Saturday night (Feb. 6) at the Indy Racquet Club, 7-0. The loss sends the Jags to 2-7 on the season and pushes their losing streak to five matches.
The Crusaders jumped to the lead early winning the first two doubles matches 6-0 and 6-1 to win the doubles point. In singles competition, Valpo (4-2) continued its strong play winning the first five singles matches in straight sets.
In the last match to finish, at the No. 3 spot,
Akshay Verma had the closest match for IUPUI, falling in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
The Jags will look end the losing streak when they host the University of Indinapolis next Saturday (Feb. 13), at 3:30 p.m.
