INDIANAPOLIS – Coming off a critical victory over the second-ranked team in the Summit League, the women's basketball team (20-8, 11-4) will host the top-ranked Coyotes of South Dakota (23-5, 14-1) in the final regular season game of the 2015-16 season on Saturday (Feb. 27) at 7 p.m. in the Jungle.
 
Currently in third-place in the Summit League standings, the Jags' are led on the season by Danielle Lawrence, averaging 13.6 points-per-game.  Mikale Rogers averages 12.9 points and leads the team with 47 blocks and 197 rebounds, averaging 7.0 per game.
 
Winners of seven of their last eight games, the Jags' fell to South Dakota (Jan. 23) 59-65 in their only other meeting this season.  They followed that game by stringing together five-consecutive victories and have only lost a single conference game at home this season (Jan. 3 vs Oral Roberts). 
 
South Dakota is coming off a recent 90-63 win over IPFW Thursday (Feb. 25).  The Coyotes lone blemish in Summit League action this season came against Oral Roberts (Jan. 6) when they fell 56-60.  Since then, USD has won 13-straight games.  Over the course of their past eight games, they've averaged defeating their opponent by 25.4 points.  The closest game during that stretch was an 80-75 victory over South Dakota State (Feb. 20), while their most lopsided victory was a 46-point annihilation of Denver (Feb. 5) on the road.
