Full Results (.html)IOWA CITY, Iowa - For the second time in as many matches, the IUPUI men's tennis team found itself on the wrong side of a 7-0 outcome against a Big Ten foe, falling at No. 43 Iowa on Friday (Feb. 26). The host Hawkeyes made quick work of the doubles point and carried the momentum over to singles play, sweeping all six of those contests.
IUPUI's best battle in doubles came in the No. 3 slot as
Patrick McAuley and
Matt Moe trailed 5-3 when the point was decided.
David Beasley and
Jose Calero lost 6-2 at the No. 2 spot to hem up the initial point for the Hawkeyes.
In singles play, senior
Louis Sacks was the last Jag standing, falling at No. 6 by a 6-2, 6-2 count. Beasley had a tight match at No. 3 before falling 6-2, 6-4 and
Marcus Nalley fell in his match at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-1.
IUPUI will open Summit League play later in the weekend when the Jaguars take on Western Illinois in Quincy, Ill..
