The IUPUI women's basketball team eyes its fifth straight win as the Jags take on Denver in a Sunday (Feb. 14) afternoon game at 3 p.m. ET in Denver, Colo. IUPUI won the previous meeting between the two in an 81-75 battle in double overtime on Jan. 28.

The first time IUPUI hosted Denver the Jags allowed 26 points to the Pioneers' leading scorer, Paige Bradley. That game finally ended after two overtimes as the Jags staved off Denver by making free throws down the stretch.

The Jags have shot an impressive 88.1 percent from the free throw line in their last three contests since the Denver game. In the last four games, Lawrence has been unbelievable in late-game situations from the stripe. She's knocked down 18 of her last 18 free throws in the final five minutes of fourth quarters and overtimes.

In the previous meeting, junior center Mikale Rogers and sophomore guard Danielle Lawrence scored 29 points and 24 points, respectively. The Jan. 28 matchup was the first of Lawrence's four-game spell consisting of 20-point games. The Louisville, Ky. native has averaged 25.5 points per game in the last four games during the Jags' win streak. She's also garnered back-to-back Summit League Player of the Week honors over that span. She scored 17 of her 21 in the second half against North Dakota State on Friday (Feb. 12) en route to a late rally for a 64-63 win.

Rogers tallied her sixth double-double of the season against North Dakota State with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Akilah Sims added 11 points and nine rebounds in the game, bringing her to a career total of 988 points. She's now just 12 points shy of the 1,000-point club which could come in Sunday's game with Denver.

A win would put even more distance between IUPUI and the second tier of teams in the Summit League. The Jags are currently third in the standings and on the heels of the league's top two teams in South Dakota State and South Dakota.

IUPUI's Scott Agness will have the call on IUPUIJags.com just prior to the 3 p.m. tip on Sunday (Feb. 14).
