INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's tennis team will continue its early season gauntlet this weekend as the Jaguars will play three matches in two days, beginning with a Saturday matchup with University of Indianapolis at 3:30 p.m. at West Indy Racquet Club. The Jags will cap the busy weekend with road matches at Saint Louis and SIU Edwardsville on Sunday (Feb. 13). IUPUI will play the Billikens at 8:30 a.m. and SIUE at 1:00 p.m..

IUPUI (2-7) is looking to snap a five-game skid, but has only been swept twice all year. The Jaguars wins have come over Chicago State and Cardinal Stritch and six of the team's seven losses have come away from home.

Sophomore David Beasley leads the Jaguars with three singles wins this spring while Jose Calero, Patrick McAuley, Marcus Nalley and Akshay Verma all have two singles victories. Beasley's wins have come at the No. 2 and 3 spots in the lineup while Nalley is 2-2 at No. 3 this spring. McAuley's two victories have come at the No. 6 spot in the Jaguars' lineup.

McAuley and Matt Moe have emerged as the team's top doubles pair, going 3-3 at the No. 3 doubles spot. The combo of Beasley and Verma is 2-4 at No. 2 doubles.

UIndy is 1-1 to start the spring with a loss to Eastern Kentucky and a win over Butler. Saint Louis enters the weekend at 5-1 with the lone loss having come by a 4-3 score at Northern Illinois. SIUE is 1-5 on the year, having also beaten Chicago State.
