SAN JOSE, Calif. - The IUPUI women's golf team capped the fall schedule with a final round 315 at the SCU Colby Invitational on Tuesday (Nov. 1) at Silver Creek Valley Country Club. The Jaguars closed the 54-hole tournament at 963 (324-324-315), placing sixth among the seven-team field.

Host Santa Clara won the event at 916, two shots ahead of CSU Northridge. CSU's Cake  Phuchanbanchob collected medalist honors at 223 (74-73-76), edging a pair of players by two strokes.

Junior Aneta Abrahamova was the Jaguars' top finisher, tying for seventh at 230 (73-79-78). While Abrahamova collected her team-high fourth top-10 finish of the fall, senior MeKenzie Hilsmeyer keyed the Jags' best round of the tournament with a final round 76. Hilsmeyer closed tied for 15th at 236 (82-78-76).

"Today was fun, I came out much more focused today than I did yesterday," Hilsmeyer said. "I would have loved to have seen more birdie putts drop, considering how well I hit the ball today. Silver Creek was a beautiful, but challenging course to end our season at."

Abrahamova made a team-high 33 pars over three rounds while Hilsmeyer was second on the team with 32.

Senior Lindsey Budnik finished on a high note with a final round 78, ending her tournament at 251 (88-85-78). Fellow senior Erin Ingram posted a 254 (81-82-91) and sophomore Lindsey Hackleman shot 260 (90-87-83).
