INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's soccer team will host a non-conference tilt on Wednesday night (Oct. 19) when the Jaguars face Detroit at 7:00 p.m. at Carroll Stadium. IUPUI students are admitted for FREE with a valid JagTag while adult tickets are just $5 at the door. In addition, IUPUI faculty and staff members are eligible for discounted tickets.
Parking is free at IUPUI home soccer matches inside the surface lot immediately across from the main entrance to Carroll Stadium off New York Street.
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS (1-12 overall, 0-4 Summit)
   IUPUI is 1-12 overall and 0-9 in road matches this season. The Jaguars are led offensively by junior forward
Uriel Macias, who owns three of the team's five goals. Junior

Pedro Valladao have a team-high two assists.
   Sophomore
Josh Gray has started 12 of the team's 13 matches and owns a 2.50 goals against average with 60 saves and a .667 save percentage. Sophomore back
Nick Anderson is the only IUPUI player to have started all 13 matches and has played a team-high 1,044 minutes in the field. Macias is second on the team at 918 minutes and Ayala is third at 895.
    With his start against Cincinnati, veteran
Carlos Albor became the 21st different player to start at least one match this season.
SCOUTING DETROIT (1-8-4 overall, 1-4-4 away)
  Detroit comes in at 1-8-4 overall and 1-4-4 in road matches. The Titans are on a five-match winless streak since beating Western Michigan on Sept. 24. Detroit is coming off a 2-0 loss at Wright State this past weekend and are 0-4-2 in Horizon League play.Â
   Spiro Pliakos and Tommy Bowman lead the team with three goals apiece while three Titans have one assist. Bowman has attempted a team-high 25 shots and Pliakos has attempted 20 shots.
   In goal, Robbie Beckwell has started 12 of the team's 13 games and has a 1.62 goals against average and 54 saves with a .730 save percentage. Josh Flamme has made three appearances with a 1.96 GAA and five saves.
ACADEMIC HONORS
  Head Coach Brian Barnett's Jaguars earned NSCAA All-Academic Team honors on Thursday for their work in the classroom during the 2015-16 year. The men's team registered a 3.32 grade point average during the 2015-16 academic year, collecting the program's seventh award in school history (2004, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015 & 2016).Â
INSIDE THE SERIES
  IUPUI is 2-4-3 all-time against Detroit with the last three matches having resulted in draws. Last year, the two sides played to a 1-1 draw in Detroit as Anderson assisted
Clint Hoffar on the Jags' lone goal in the 23rd minute.
   IUPUI is 2-2-1 in the five matches in Indianapolis against the Titans.
LAST TIME OUT
  IUPUI is coming off a 2-0 loss at Oral Roberts on Oct. 15. The Jags yielded goals in the 15th and 87th minutes to drop to 0-4 in Summit League play.
   Macias paced the IUPUI attack with three shot attempts, putting two on target. Gray made five saves in goal as the short-handed Jaguars were limited to just 13 players total.
