The IUPUI women's basketball team squares off with South Dakota on Saturday (Jan. 23) at 2:30 p.m. ET inside the DakotaDome. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3. IUPUI's Scott Agness will have the call for IUPUIJags.com as well just prior to tip.

The Jags enter Saturday after suffering a heartbreaking loss in double overtime (66-68) to South Dakota State on Thursday (Jan. 21). IUPUI battled back from a double-digit deficit in the first half to force two overtime periods before being edged by the Jackrabbits.

Sydney Hall, Mikale Rogers and Danielle Lawrence poured in double figure performances in a game that featured a balanced offensive attack from the Jags. Rogers (17 points, 11 rebounds) recorded her third double-double of the season in the game and leads the Jags in both points (12.2) and rebounds (7.1) per game.

Hall has been shooting at an extremely high level in recent games. The freshman guard is 10-for-19 on three-point attempts in the last four games. Lawrence has also been sensational shooting the deep ball. The sophomore guard is 8-for-16 in the last four contests and has scored in double figures in seven of IUPUI's last nine games.

The Jags now face a South Dakota team that sits in second place in the Summit League standings. IUPUI's two-game road trip in the state of South Dakota is arguably the hardest two-game test of their road schedule. Stealing a win in Vermillion, S.D. would be a huge boost for the Jags and put them back in the running for the top spot in conference.

Saturday's game features the Jags' top defense in the conference facing off with one of the conference's best scorers in USD's Nicole Seekamp. The Australian senior guard is the reigning Summit League Player of the Week and averages over 16 points per game this season.

Both USD and IUPUI lost to Oral Roberts earlier in the season as the Golden Eagles gave the Coyotes their only loss of the conference schedule. However, USD bested SDSU 63-58 less than a week ago on the road.

If the Jags win, they'll move to 5-2 in conference and a tie with South Dakota for third place in the Summit League. A win for the Coyotes means a 6-1 conference record and a share of the top spot with SDSU.

Saturday's game (Jan. 23) will be broadcast on ESPN 3 just prior to tipoff at 2:30 p.m. ET.
