Mikale Rogers has been dominate in the last two games with performances of 26 points against Omaha and 19 points against North Dakota State. Rogers' 45 points in two games have come on 20-for-32 shooting (62.5 percent).
IUPUI had 11 players score in their comfortable win over North Dakota State last Saturday (Jan. 16). IUPUI has boasted a balanced scoring attack all season with three players averaging in double figures and a host of scorers in the four to seven points per game range.
Thursday's contest features the top two teams in the Summit League providing a tough test for the Jags on the road. South Dakota State's Macy Miller comes in averaging 16.8 points per game. She dropped 20 in the Jacks' loss to South Dakota on Sunday (Jan. 17).
The Jags hope to rely on their defensive prowess to slow down Miller and the Jacks. IUPUI leads the Summit League in defensive efficiency. The Jags are holding opponents to a Summit League best 57.2 points per game. They also hold the best defensive scoring percentage, holding teams to just a 38.0 shooting percentage on average.
The winner of Thursday's game jumps to a 5-1 overall record and the top spot in the Summit League standings. IUPUI faces South Dakota on the road this Saturday (Jan. 23) in a match up with another 4-1 Summit League foe. If the Jags can squeeze through one of the toughest two-game road trips of the season, they can come out on top of the conference standings next week.
