INDIANAPOLIS – The regular-season comes to a close this weekend for the IUPUI men's tennis team when it welcomes Detroit to the West Indy Racquet Club for the team's final home match of the season.
Sunday's match, which begins at 11 a.m., will serve as the final home match for IUPUI's four seniors in
Adam Reinhart,
Alex Toliver,
Patrick O'Neill and Thomas Gans.
Reinhart and Toliver rank first and third on the team this season in singles wins with 14 and 11, respectively, while O'Neill and Toliver have teamed up for five wins at No. 1 doubles and Gans has added five wins in doubles play as well.
The Jags are 9-16 entering the final match of the regular season, including an 8-6 record when playing at home. The Titans enter their final match of the regular-season at 5-14 overall.
The Jags and Titans have squared off in each of the last five years with Detroit owning a 3-2 lead during that span. Four of the five outcomes have been decided by scores of 5-2, and UDM is 2-0 during that time frame when playing in Indianapolis.
