INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI men's tennis team continues Summit League action this weekend when the Jaguars host Western Illinois on Friday, March 20, at the West Indy Racquet Club.
IUPUI is 5-11 entering Friday's match, including a 1-0 record in Summit League play on the heels of a 5-2 win over Fort Wayne last Saturday. The Leathernecks are 0-13 overall coming into the contest, and 0-2 in league play.
Last week, the Jaguars went 1-1 dropping a contest to Ball State in addition to picking up the win over Fort Wayne.
Akshay Verma led the way for IUPUI going 2-0 in singles play in both of those matches, resulting in being named the Summit League Player of the Week on Tuesday, March 17.
Friday's match is the second of four straight home matches for the Jags as they conclude their homestand next weekend when they hose UIC and South Dakota State.
