MEN'S TENNIS DROPS 4-0 CONTEST TO #38 LOUISVILLE

Jaguars drop second straight match to a ranked opponent

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The IUPUI men's tennis team faced its second ranked opponent in as many matches on Saturday when it squared off against #38 Louisville and the nationally-ranked Cardinals were too tough on their home court defeating IUPUI, 4-0.
 
The loss dropped IUPUI to 3-10 on the season, while UofL improved to 12-2 overall.
 
Louisville got out to the one-point advantage in doubles action by capturing the top two matches by identical 6-1 scores before moving onto singles action.
 
In singles action, Louisville showed its strength winning convincingly at the No. 1, 2 and 5 spots to close out the victory. In the other three matches, the Cards were up one set when the match concluded.
 
Up next for the Jags is a home match at the West Indy Racquet Club on Friday, March 6, against Toledo. The match will start at 3 p.m.
