MILWAUKEE - The IUPUI men's tennis team has a busy weekend on tap as it looks to get into the win column with four matches in three days.
IUPUI begins the weekend in Milwaukee, Wis., where it will take on Cardinal Stritch and Marquette on Friday, Jan. 23, before making its way to Illinois on Sunday, Jan. 25, to square off against DePaul and Northern Illinois.
The Jags are coming off a tough opening weekend in which they went 0-3. IUPUI fell to Cleveland State 6-1, before dropping a tightly contested match to Dayton, 4-3. Then on Monday, Jan. 19, the Jaguars made their way north to No. 48 Purdue where they fell to the Boilermakers, 6-1, with
Marcus Nalley claiming the lone point with a victory at No. 5 singles in his first match as a Jag.
Despite the tough start to the season, there were some impressive performances like Nalley's victory and the play of
Adam Reinhart. Reinhart went 1-1 on the week in singles, with his victory coming at the No. 2 spot against Dayton, and that was good enough to earn him Summit League Player of the Week honors.
Friday's matches against Cardinal Stritch and Marquette are set for 11 a.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET, respectively, while Sunday's match-ups with the Blue Demons and Huskies are scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. ET and 7:30 p.m. ET in Chicago and Rockford, Ill., respectively.
