ABOUT DENVER
  • The Pioneers are 6-13 on the season, but they have started strong in league play posting a 3-2 record.
  • DU has two double-figure scorers in Paige Bradley and Morgan Van Riper-Rose, who average 12.8 ppg and 10.9 ppg, respectively.
  • Bradley, however, has upped her scoring production in league-only games to 15.3 ppg and Jordan Johnston has become the team's second-leading scorer at 13.0 ppg.
  • In five league games, Denver's defensive field goal percentage is second at .391, while it is hitting three's at a .379 clip.
  • The Pioneers are second in the league in 3-point field goals made at 7.8 per game, and Johnston and Bradley are both hitting more than two per game in league games with Bradley hitting at a 57.1 percent clip to rank third in the conference.

THE SERIES WITH THE PIONEERS
  • IUPUI leads the all-time series between the two schools, 3-2.
  • The Jags have taken two of the last three meetings, but Denver took the last meeting in overtime, 76-69, last season in the Summit League Tournament Semifinals.
  • IUPUI is 2-0 all-time against Denver at home.

LAST TIME OUT ...
  • Mikale Rogers poured in a season-high 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting, but the rest of the Jaguars struggled from the floor combining to shoot 28.6 percent as Omaha handed IUPUI a 66-49 loss Saturday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.
  • The loss dropped the Jags to 7-11 overall and 2-3 in the Summit League, while Omaha improved to 6-10 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
  • In road games this season, IUPUI has struggled with assists and turnovers and that trend showed up again on Saturday as the Jaguars registered just six assists while committing 20 turnovers.
  • The Mavericks had three players reach double figures in scoring led by Remy Davenport's 13 points.
  • Both teams got off to a slow start offensively in the first 10 minutes resulting in Omaha taking a 12-8 lead, but the Mavericks were able to extend their lead to double-digits by the eight-minute mark, 22-12.
  • Over the next five minutes, the Jags hit a few three's to spur a 15-4 run that catapulted them in front, 27-26, with a little more than three minutes to play in the first half.
  • Down the stretch, the Jaguars were able to use a Shanika Maddox lay-up with 53 seconds to send them into the half with a 31-30 advantage.
  • Unfortunately for IUPUI, the Mavericks went on a 15-6 run over the first eight minutes of the second half to take a 45-37 lead. Rogers scored four straight points to bring IUPUI within five, 46-41, with 9:30 remaining, but an 11-1 Mavericks spurt pushed them out to a 57-42 cushion with 6:50 on the clock.
  • The Jags made a surge to close within eight, 57-49, with 4:20 to go, but IUPUI just could not close within single digits the rest of the way before falling by a score of 66-49.

ROGER THAT
  • In Summit League play, Mikale Rogers has answered the call and become one of the Jaguars leading scorers.
  • On the season, the Indianapolis-native is averaging 9.0 ppg and 4.4 rpg, but in Summit League play Rogers has upper her production to 12.6 ppg and 5.4 rpg.
  • Rogers has scored in double-figures the last three games, including a season-high 21 points at Omaha on Jan. 17. That night, Rogers accounted for 42.8 percent of the team's scoring.
  • Over the last three games, Rogers is averaging 15.7 ppg and 5.0 rpg.

LEADERS IN THE SERIES
  • With last year being Denver's first in The Summit League, the current group of Jags and Pioneers have just squared off three times.
  • Of the players on IUPUI's 2014-15 roster, Nevena Markovic leads the group averaging 11.3 ppg in three contests against Denver, while also grabbing 6.7 rpg.
  • Akilah Sims is next with 8.7 ppg, followed by Shanika Maddox and Nicole Rogers with 7.3 ppg and 7.0 ppg, respectively.
  • Maddox and Mikale Rogers have been the most effective at shooting the ball against Denver with Maddox shooting 60.0 percent (9-of-15) and Rogers hitting 58.3 percent of her shots (7-of-12).
  • On the other side, Morgan Van Riper-Rose, Theresa Wirth and Paige Bradley all average double-figures against the Jags with Van Riper-Rose leading the way at 11.7 ppg.
  • Wirth has been tough to guard hitting 76.9 percent (10-of-13) of her shots from the field and 84.6 percent (11-of-13) of her attempts from the line against IUPUI in her career.
  • The one glaring difference in the three games played last season was the Pioneers ability to convert from the line. They hit 70-of-88 from the line against the Jaguars a season ago, compared to IUPUI hitting just 56 of its 84 looks.
