YORKTOWN, Ind. - Led by sophomore Erin Ingram's first career top-10 finish, the IUPUI women's golf team finished seventh of 16 teams at this week's Cardinal Classic at The Player Club, shooting a 36-hole 623 (308-315). The Jaguars finished behind a string of six Mid-American Conference schools, as Eastern Michigan defeated Western Michigan in a playoff for the team title. Both schools finished at 22-over 598 but EMU played the playoff hole at 1-under while WMU went 1-over.

WMU's Chloe Lawrie earned medalist honors at 1-over 145 (72-73) and EMU's Karyn Lee Ping was second at 146 (73-73).

Ingram put together her best-ever collegiate tournament, finishing at 150 (73-77) to tie for eighth among the 99-player field.

Freshman Aneta Abrahamova finished her first collegiate tournament at 13-over 157 (77-80), leaving her tied for 32nd overall. Senior Kelli Witt got off to a rough start on Tuesday before eventually closing with a second round 83. She ended her tournament at 159 (76-83).

Freshman Sara Saetre had her best 18-hole score of the year on Tuesday at 5-over 77, leaving her at 162 (85-77), tied for 52nd. Sophomore MeKenzie Hilsmeyer rounded out the lineup at 163 (81-82) and freshman Nicole Toledano shot 171 (89-82) while playing as an individual.

The Jaguars will be back in action on Oct. 6-7 when they participate in the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Country Club in Indianapolis.
