YORKTOWN, Ind. - The IU Indianapolis women's golf team will return to action this week when the Jaguars compete in Ball State's Brittany Kelly Classic at The Players Club at Woodland Trails on Monday (Sept. 15) and Tuesday (Sept. 16). The tournament is slated for two rounds on Monday, followed by a final round on Tuesday. 

Head coach Jamie Broce's squad will have four newcomers in the starting five as senior Yanah Rolston will play the No. 1 role, followed by four new faces. Sophomore Lexi Stuart will play No. 2, followed by a trio of true freshmen in Olivia Aronhalt, Emma Frauhiger and Li (Sherry) Xia. Aronhalt and Frauhiger played at Illinois State last week while Xia will make her collegiate debut this week. Senior Reagan Sohn and sophomore Alexandra Chiew will both compete as individuals. 

Rolston was the team's low scorer at Illinois State at 238 and Stuart checked in at 243 in her IU Indy debut. Aronhalt made her collegiate debut at 246 and Frauhiger finished at 264. Sohn shot 248 while playing as an individual. Rolston is tops among the Jaguar roster with 67 career rounds played with a 79.73 stroke average. 

QUOTABLE
"It was very nerve wracking, but so exciting to be playing at this level," Aronhalt said of her collegiate debut at the Redbird Intercollegiate.  

THE COURSE
The Players Club at Woodland Trails is a public 18-hole track in Yorktown, Ind. It's considered the best track in East Central Indiana and voted as the top public access course in the state of Indiana. 

THE FIELD
The eight-team field consists of Ball State, Dayton, IU Indy, Indiana Wesleyan, Lindenwood, Ohio, UIC and Valparaiso.

The Jaguars finished 15th of 16 teams at the Redbird Intercollegiate on Sept. 7-8 with a 54-hole 991 (323-325-343). Rolston finished tied for 53rd overall at 238 (76-75-87). 

UP NEXT
The Jaguars will play the Women's Fighting Irish Classic in South Bend, Ind., on Sept. 28.
