INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Jaguars enter the final week of their regular season with two non-conference matches remaining. They'll kick the week off against Ball State in Muncie Wednesday (Apr. 16) at 3 p.m. ET.
The Cardinals come into the match on a high note, defeating Western Michigan in a tight 4-3 match Sunday. It was decided in the third set of the final singles match. The win bumped them a half-game over .500 on the season at 10-9.
This won't be the first time the Jaguars have been to Muncie this season. They visited in the fall for the Ball State Invitational, but only
Jason Jaruvang was paired up with a Ball State player. He defeated Lucas Anderson 6-2, 6-2 in the Flight A quarterfinals. Anderson has played the majority of his dual matches this spring at No. 3 and 4 singles where he has posted a combined 13-3 record. Jaruvang, on the other hand, has played primarily at No. 1 and 2 singles where he has a combined 8-10 record.
IUPUI doesn't have the same momentum that Ball State does. They wrapped up their conference season this weekend with consecutive losses dropping them to 2-3 in Summit League play.
After playing Ball State, the Jaguars will have just one match left on the road against Detroit this Saturday.
