INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Jaguars (2-8) lost 6-1 Saturday (Feb. 15) to #75 Purdue (3-1), possibly the Jaguars' toughest competition of the season.

Without the services of Jason Jaruvang, the Jaguars were forced to shift the lineup around opening the door for Manuel Laboy to get his first crack at singles play this spring. Although Purdue had already clinched the match by the time Laboy finished, he took full advantage of the opportunity and soundly defeated his opponent in the No. 6 singles match 6-3, 6-3. Including his fall tournament record, Laboy is now 2-4 in singles play this year.

Alex Toliver suffered a 6-0, 6-3 loss at No. 1 singles after shifting back to the spot with Jaruvang's absence. The loss dropped his record to 3-2 at No. 1 singles and 5-5 overall.

IUPUI may be able to put their match with Purdue behind them, but the schedule will not let up. They've got another tough match Sunday against Northern Illinois who won six in a row before having their win streak snapped last weekend. The match will begin at 11 a.m.
