-
During this five-game stretch, the Coyotes are averaging 79.8 ppg, 6.0 ppg more than their season average.

-
Raeshel Contreras and Polly Harrington are USD's other double-figure scorers averaging 13.1 ppg and 11.6 ppg, respectively, and Contreras is the team's top three-point threat with 46 made three's.
-
Additionally, Margaret McCloud enters the game as the top shooter in the league hitting 59.7 percent of her shots, and that has gone up to 62.2 percent in league-only games, which ranks second in the conference.
-
In league only-contests, Saturday's match-up pits the top scoring offense in South Dakota (76.8 ppg), and the top scoring defense in IUPUI (58.1 ppg). The Coyotes also rank first in league-only games in 3-point field goal percentage (.359) and second in rebounding offense (39.6 rpg).

LAST TIME OUT ...
-
A late second-half run broke open a tight game and gave IUPUI a 68-55 win over Denver Thursday evening (Feb. 13) at Magness Arena.
-
The Jags picked up 20 points from DeAirra Goss - the third straight game she has reached at least 20 points - and both Nevena Markovic and Mikale Rogers reached double figures with 13 points and 11 points, respectively, helping IUPUI hand Denver its first home Summit League loss. The win also extended IUPUI's winning streak to nine games while upping its overall and conference records to 19-6 and 9-1.
-
The Jags limited their turnovers committing just nine and held Denver to 34 percent shooting, proving to be key in coming away with the road win. IUPUI, who came into the game leading the Summit League in field goal percentage shooting 45.8 percent, surpassed its season average shooting 46.7 percent while forcing the Pioneers into 16 turnovers – four more than their Summit League average.
-
IUPUI hit its first three shots from the floor, but defensively the Jags allowed Denver to hit five of their first six shots resulting in the Pioneers jumping out to a 10-6 lead almost four minutes in.
-
Beginning with a Mikale Rogers jumper at the 15:53 mark, the Jags hit four of their next six shots, highlighted by a Katie Comello three, to take a 16-12 lead into the under-12-minute media timeout.
-
Denver slowly chipped away at its deficit and closed with two, 25-23 on a Morgan Van Riper-Rose three with 5:02 to go, but four straight points from Goss quickly pushed the advantage to 29-23 with four minutes to play.
-
The Pioneers again made a charge closing within one, 31-30, but a turnaround jumper in the lane from Mikale Rogers and a driving lay-up by Akilah Sims put IUPUI in front, 35-30, with just over 30 seconds to play. Then, Dee-Dee Bellamy forced a 10-second backcourt violation to give the Jags a chance at the final shot. IUPUI capitalized on the opportunity as Goss hit a long jumper with one second on the clock off a feed from Nicole Rogers to give the Jags a 37-30 lead entering halftime.
-
Out of the half, both teams turned the ball over and neither team could get into a flow offensively. However, a Shanika Maddox lay-up with 14:21 to go gave the Jags its first double-digit lead of the night, 45-34.
-
A 4:32 scoreless drought ensued for IUPUI allowing Denver to pull within a three, 45-42, but when the Jags needed a bucket, Goss and Markovic each made baskets in the paint on consecutive possessions to up the cushion to 49-42.
-
The Pioneers continued to fight and again clawed back within four, 49-45, but a 12-4 spurt from the 8:22 mark to the 4:22 mark boosted the Jags lead back to double figures, 61-49.
-
Once the lead reached double digits, the outcome was never in doubt and the Jags came away with a 68-55 win.
CHART WATCH
-
Three IUPUI players are making their way up the IUPUI single-season and career charts as the 2013-14 regular-season is winding down.
-
With three steals against Western Illinois on Jan. 30, senior guard Dee-Dee Bellamy moved into 10th on IUPUI's all-time steals chart. Heading into Saturday, Bellamy remains in 10th with 181 career steals and needs just 11 more to move into ninth and 19 more to become just the eighth player in school history to reach 200 career steals.
-
Since rejecting 55 shots as a freshman, it was a foregone conclusion that Nevena Markovic would ultimately make her way into IUPUI's Top 5 in career blocked shots. Through 82 career games, Markovic has 89 career blocks, and needs just three more to move into third all-time in IUPUI history.
-
Finally, Nicole Rogers has connected on a team-best 57 three's this season and she is one the verge of cracking IUPUI's single-season Top-5 chart in 3-point field goals made.
-
The Kokomo, Ind.-native needs just seven more to crack the Top 5, and if she manages to make seven more, she would become the Jaguars all-time leader for made three's for a sophomore.
LEADER OF THE PACK
-
Since the start of Summit League play, senior guard DeAirra Goss has elevated her play on both ends of the floor.
-
In the non-conference portion of the Jags schedule, Goss led IUPUI with 11.8 ppg, while adding 4.1 rpg and 1.3 apg. She scored those 11.8 ppg on 43.8 percent shooting from the floor, and got to the line around five times per game while connecting on 62.8 percent of her tries.
-
Since league play began, Goss has been more aggressive on the offensive end resulting in 18.7 ppg. She also is averaging 3.7 rpg and 1.9 apg.
-
Not only is she shooting 53.1 percent from the field, but she is also hitting 72.6 percent from the stripe.
-
In conference games, Goss has scored in double figures nine times, including over 20 points six times.
-
Goss has reached at least 20 points in three consecutive games entering Saturday's contest against USD. Earlier this season, Goss scored a career-high tying 27 points on a career-best 11 made field goals against South Dakota on Jan. 16, before reaching 27 points again on Feb. 8 in a 10-point win over South Dakota State.
JAGS CLOSE IN ON MID-MAJOR TOP 25 POLL
-
With a win over South Dakota State on Feb. 8, IUPUI moved up the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major and is now on the verge of cracking the Top 25.
-
Back on Feb. 4, IUPUI was sitting outside the Top 25 with 17 votes, and following this weekend's victory, the Jags are now receiving 41 votes and sit just outside the Top 25.
-
The Jags have played four games against three teams - South Dakota State, Indiana State and Missouri State - that are either ranked or receiving votes in the Mid-Major Top-25 poll and the Jaguars are 3-1 in those games.
LOOKING FOR 10
-
With IUPUI's 13-point win over Denver on Feb. 13, the Jaguars won their ninth straight game to improve to 19-6 overall and 9-1 in The Summit League.
-
The nine-game winning streak marks the longest winning streak in IUPUI's Division-I era, which began during the 1998-99 campaign.
-
If the Jags would defeat South Dakota on Saturday, it would mark IUPUI's first double-digit win streak since the 1989-90 season. That year, the Jags went on a 15-game win streak en route to a 25-5 record and a NAIA District 21 title.
