INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Jaguars (2-7) suffered their second loss of the weekend and fourth in a row Sunday in a 5-2 defeat to UIndy (3-0) at the UIndy Tennis Center.

Thomas Gans and Jacob Bradley took care of business at No. 2 doubles as they have all year, but losses at No. 1 and 3 doubles gave UIndy the doubles point. Gans and Bradley are 4-2 on the season at No. 2 doubles, but the rest of the team has found little consistency in doubles play.

Alex Toliver tied the score at 1 after his quick 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles and improved his singles record to 5-4 on the season, tied for the best record on the team with Gans.

UIndy clinched the match with three straight-set wins after Toliver's match finished, but IUPUI still had two more chances to notch some wins.

Both Jason Jaruvang and Akshay Verma forced a third-set after dominating the second set. Jaruvang came up just short losing the super tiebreaker 11-9, but Verma came out on top. It was Verma's third singles win this season.

With another weekend's results in the books, the Jaguars will have the week off before taking their 2-7 record to West Lafayette to take on Purdue Saturday (Feb. 15) at 10 a.m.
