INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Jaguars (2-4) came up just short in their final match of the weekend falling 4-3 to Green Bay. It was IUPUI's third 4-3 defeat this season.
The Jaguars got off to a quick start taking the doubles point with wins from No. 1 and 3 singles.
Manuel Laboy and
Jason Jaruvang won for the second match in a row in the third spot after a slow 0-3 start to the season.
Jaruvang continued to do well when play shifted to singles. He switched back to the No. 1 spot after a few matches at No. 2 singles and dispatched his opponent in three sets. The win improved his singles record on the season to 3-2.
Thomas Gans was the only other singles winner and also required three sets. With his win, he's now tied with
Alex Toliver and
Jacob Bradley with four singles wins this season.
IUPUI will travel to Dayton to take on Wright State this Saturday (2/1) for their only match of the weekend.
