MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The IUPUI men's golf team finished off a second-place finish at this week's Golfweek Program Challenge at True Blue Golf Course, firing a 54-hole 861 (285-280-296). Akron leapfrogged a pair of teams on the final day to win the team title at 856, five shots better than the Jaguars. James Madison (862), Jacksonville State (863) and Gardner-Webb (863) rounded out the top five.

Junior Jose Pablo Segurola spearheaded the Jaguars' efforts, shooting a final round 1-under 71 to finish the event at 5-under 211 (71-69-71). In doing so, Segurola earned his third career top 10 finish and his first-ever top five. The Spaniard had seven birdies during Tuesday's round, including three straight on Nos. 8, 9 and 10. 

Sophomore Rylan Porter shot an even par 72, including going 2-under on the back nine to finish at 221 (74-75-72). Meanwhile, senior Rob van de Vin and junior Santiago Ruiz tied for 23rd overall at 3-over 219. Ruiz carded a final round 75 and van de Vin shot a final round 78. 

Sophomore Austin Winings carded an 80 on Tuesday. 

Western Carolina's J.T. Poston captured medalist honors, finishing the tournament at 11-under 205. His closest competition was Akron's J.B. Williams, who finished four shots back at 7-under 209. 

The Jaguars will return to action on Sept. 14-15 when they participate in The McLaughlin, hosted by St. John's at The Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y..
