MEN'S TENNIS HEADS TO PEORIA, ILL., TO MEET BRADLEY

Jags look to get back on track on Sunday, March 10 against the Braves

INDIANAPOLIS – Coming off a pair of close losses to Butler and Northern Illinois last weekend, the IUPUI men’s tennis team looks to get back on track on Sunday, March 10, when it heads to Peoria, Ill., to square off against Bradley.

The Jaguars enter Sunday’s match with a 2-11 overall record, while Bradley comes into the weekend with a 4-5 record. Prior to playing the Jags on Sunday, the Braves host Green Bay on Friday, March 8.

“We are competing against a very deep and talented team this weekend. We are very familiar with each other and have very competitive matches. I am sure this weekend’s match will be no different and we look forward to the challenge,” head coach Brandon Currie said. “Coming off a couple of close losses this past weekend has really forced us to figure some things out as a team, and moving forward I believe those losses will have us playing our best tennis. Hopefully we will be able to get things figured out and execute at a high level this weekend.”

Last season, the Braves earned a 6-1 victory over the Jaguars at the West Indy Racquet Club.

Sunday’s match against Bradley and IUPUI’s March 17 match against Wright State will serve as its final tune-ups prior to opening Summit League play on Saturday, March 23 against South Dakota State in Kansas City, Mo.
