INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI men’s tennis team returns home on Sunday, March 17, when the Jaguars host Wright State at the West Indy Racquet Club at 5 p.m.

“We are facing a tough team this weekend, but coming off spring break, hopefully guys are refreshed and refocused as we head into the second half of the season,” head coach Brandon Currie said. “We have played an extremely demanding schedule, but it was planned to prepare us for this part of the season. This match will be a great measuring stick to see how prepared we are as we head into the conference season.”

The Jags are coming off a 5-2 loss to Bradley last Sunday in Peoria. Jason Jaruvang led IUPUI against the Braves by teaming up with Jake Hedderig for a win at the No. 3 doubles spot to help the Jags secure the doubles point, before claiming a three-set win in the top singles match.

Sunday’s match against the Raiders will be the second of a men’s and women’s doubleheader, with the women’s team taking on Wright State at 11 a.m.

The Raiders enter the weekend with an 8-6 overall record and five of their six losses have come against ranked opponents. Last weekend, Wright State earned wins over Saint Louis and Morehead State.
