IUPUI and Dayton are set to begin at 5 p.m. in Dayton, Ohio

DAYTON, Ohio – On Saturday, Feb. 16, the IUPUI men’s tennis team will travel to Dayton, Ohio, to take on the Dayton Flyers at 5 p.m.

Saturday’s match against the Flyers will mark the sixth straight week of competitive action for the Jaguars, but following Saturday’s match, IUPUI will have two weeks off before returning to action on March 3, against Butler and Northern Illinois.

“We are excited about our match this weekend. Dayton is a team that we play every year and we always have a competitive match with them,” said head coach Brandon Currie. “They are well coached and very talented. It’s always tough to go on the road and compete against a team like this, but we embrace the challenge and look forward to it. I believe we took a huge step forward last weekend, and I truly believe the team is ready to take that momentum into this weekend.”

IUPUI is coming off a weekend split against Saint Louis and Ball State. The Jags opened with a 5-2 win over the Billikens at home, before falling to the Cardinals, 7-0, in Muncie, Ind. The win over Saint Louis was IUPUI’s first of the season.

Dayton comes into the match with a 2-3 record after defeating Chicago State, 6-1, at home on Sunday, Feb. 10.
