  • ECU is led offensively by Jada Payne and Abria Trice, who are scoring 18.6 ppg and 16.4 ppg, respectively.
  • The Pirates are outrebounding their opponents by more than 10.0 per game, while also forcing their opponents into 26 turnovers per game.
  • Ondrea Shaw is a force inside leading the team with 14 blocks, while also leading the team in rebounding with 7.0 rpg.

ABOUT CLEVELAND STATE
  • The Vikings enter the tournament with a 2-3 record following a seven-point win over Morehead State on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
  • CSU has three players scoring in double figures led by Kiersten Green's 18.6 ppg. Imani Gordon is behind Green with 14.8 ppg, while grabbing a team-high 8.0 rpg, and Cori Coleman ranks third on the squad averaging 12.4 ppg.
  • Cleveland State shoots 44.4 percent from the floor, including 38.9 percent from the three-point line, and has made more free throws than their opponents have attempted.
  • Through five games, they are being outrebounded by more than 7.0 rpg.

LAST TIME OUT ...
  • A 20-0 run spanning from the 4:30 mark of the first half through the first two minutes of the second half sent IUPUI to a 100-46 win over Ohio Valley Tuesday evening at The Jungle.
  • The win was IUPUI's fourth in a row as it improved to 5-1 and continued its best start since joining the Division-I ranks during the 1998-99 season.
  • IUPUI lacked a little energy in the early going against the Fighting Scots, but 20-point spurt got the Jags back on track.
  • Nicole Rogers led all players with 14 points, all of which came in the final 12 minutes, and Caitlyn Tolen, Jordan Barton and Katie Comello also reached double figures, with Tolen doing so for the first time in her career. Barton also added six boards, an assist and a steal.
  • After scoring a career-high 22 points in the Jags last outing against Chicago State, Nevena Markovic continued her hot shooting connecting on 6-of-7 shots to finish with 12 points in just 16 minutes of action. Markovic also led IUPUI with eight boards.
  • A Saira House lay-up one minute and 19 seconds in gave the Fighting Scots the early lead at 2-1, but that would be their only lead of the game. An 11-0 Jaguars run ensued over the next 3:30, which featured three buckets inside from Markovic, which opened up a 12-2 IUPUI advantage.
  • Still in front by 10 points, 17-7, the Jags were able to go on a 9-0 run over a 3:42 stretch thanks in part to getting the Fighting Scots in foul trouble. By the 10:29 mark, the Jags were in the double bonus and they scored five of their nine points from the line during the run to widen their cushion to 26-7.
  • Despite getting out to nearly a 20-point lead, the Fighting Scots battled back within 10 points at 28-18 with 6:50 remaining. A Shelby Way triple kept Ohio Valley within 11 points, 34-23, with 4:31 to play, but that would be their final points of the half. Two Markovic jumpers sparked a 14-0 run to close the half and sent IUPUI into the locker room with a 48-23 lead.
  • Markovic led all players with 12 at the break on 6-of-7 shooting, but the difference was IUPUI's ability to get to the line. Despite hitting just 62.5 percent of their free throw attempts, the Jags outscored the Fighting Scots by 14 from the charity stripe in the opening 20 minutes.
  • The run continued out of the break as IUPUI scored the first six points in the opening two minutes to push their lead to 54-23. Katie Comello then scored the next eight IUPUI points, including two triples from opposite wings to move the advantage to 62-27 at the under-16 media timeout.
  • A jumper from the right baseline from Rogers with 12:07 on the clock put all 12 Jags in the scoring column, and from that point the Jaguars cruised to a 100-46 victory.

SEASON OF GIVING
  • Twice in her career, Dawn Luster has led the Jags in assists this season, but she has been running the team extremely well through six games this season.
  • The senior from Holland, Ill., leads IUPUI with 4.0 apg this season, but the biggest change in Luster's game is her ability to secure the basketball.
  • During her freshman season, Luster had an assist-to-turnover ratio of 0.94, before improving to 1.03 her sophomore season.
  • That trend continued her junior season as her assist-to-turnover ratio rose to 1.05, but this season has been her best.
  • Through six games, Luster has an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.4.
  • During the Jags four-game winning streak, Luster has dished out 20 assists against just five turnovers, and that includes a seven assist, zero turnover performance in her hometown of Chicago against Chicago State.
