INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI's softball home opener with Western Illinois has been postponed, due to rain. The two teams played one inning of Saturday's twinbill before the game was called by the umpiring crew. 

The two teams won't return to action until Monday. Game one of the series is scheduled to be resumed at 10:00 a.m., followed by a doubleheader beginning at noon.

Western Illinois (9-5) had jumped out to a 1-0 lead against junior Amy Raker in top of the first before the Leathernecks blanked IUPUI (3-5) in the bottom half.
