INDIANAPOLIS -- Still alive and seeking the eighth seed in The Summit League Tournament, the IUPUI women's basketball team will look to begin their first winning streak of the year when they take on UMKC on Monday night. Tip-off for IUPUI's home final is slated for 7:00 p.m. ET, and Scott Taylor's call of the game on IUPUIJags.com will begin at approximately 6:50 p.m..

IUPUI (3-23, 2-13 Summit) is coming off a hard-fought, 59-55 win over Southern Utah on Saturday; the Jaguars received a double-double from Kerah Nelson, her third of the season, with 19 points and 10 boards.

Nelson is continuing her push towards All-Newcomer honors, averaging 15.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in conference play.

Along with Nelson's consistency, the return of Briannica Tye has helped the Jaguars as well; since returning from injury, Tye is averaging 10.7 points a game.

UMKC (13-13, 10-5 Summit) enters Monday's game in fourth place in The Summit; the Kangaroos moved into fourth with a 65-57 win at Western Illinois on Saturday. The 'Roos took down the Jaguars, 65-36, on Jan. 23, outscoring IUPUI, 43-19, in the second half.

The Jaguars sit two games behind Southern Utah for the final slot in The Summit League Tournament; IUPUI will need to win at least two of their final three games and hope Southern Utah drops their remaining contests in order to qualify.
