CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Nearing the halfway point of The Summit League season, the IUPUI women's basketball team sits just one game out of the chase for a conference tournament spot.  However, the Jaguars will have a chance to establish themselves for a second-half playoff push when they meet Southern Utah on Monday night.  Tip-off from the Centrum Arena is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (7 p.m. MT), with Scott Taylor on the call on IUPUIJags.com.

IUPUI (2-17, 1-7 Summit) struggled through one of the worst shooting games in school history on Saturday at UMKC, but still had multiple opportunities to remain in the contest over the game's first 25 minutes.  Kerah Nelson led the Jaguars with 11 points in the game and had led the Jags in scoring in each of the last seven contests.

Southern Utah (5-14, 3-5 Summit) is coming off a double overtime win over Western Illinois on Saturday, outscoring the Fighting Leathernecks, 11-2, in the second extra session.  Despite the loss of Anne Westwood-Higbee due to graduation, the Thunderbirds have been led by Challis Pascucci, who is nearly posting a double-double with 11.4 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.

Tonight's game will mark the halfway point of The Summit League season for the Jaguars; entering tonight's contest, IUPUI is one game behind Western Illinois (2-6) for the last spot in The Summit League Tournament.
