INDIANAPOLIS -- Coming off their first Summit League victory of the season, the IUPUI women's basketball team will look to make it two in a row when they meet Oral Roberts on Monday. Tip-off from The Jungle is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, with Scott Taylor on the call on IUPUIJags.com. Following the contest, the Jaguars will host a youth clinic with all kids in attendance for the clinic receiving free admission to the game.
IUPUI (2-15, 1-5 Summit) shut down Centenary on Saturday, holding the Ladies to 21.7-percent shooting en route to a 61-35 rout.
Kerah Nelson and
Janna Eichelberger each posted double-doubles for the Jaguars, helping IUPUI outscore Centenary, 30-10, in the paint.
Clara Mitchell added 10 points for IUPUI, going 6-for-6 from the charity stripe to lead a 21-for-30 effort for the Jags.
IUPUI will have their work cut out for them against an Oral Roberts (11-7 5-2 Summit) outfit that is third in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 83.7 points per game. The Golden Eagles enter Monday's game with the nation's second-leading scorer in freshman Kevi Luper, who is averaging 25.0 points per game.
Oral Roberts defeated Western Illinois, 82-57, in Macomb, Ill., on Saturday.
