INDIANAPOLIS -- Despite victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, the IUPUI women's tennis team was not able to pick up any other matches in a 5-2 defeat to Ohio Dominican Sunday evening at the Indianapolis Tennis Center.

For IUPUI (0-13), Emily Holsapple and Vanessa Carna were a tour de force throughout the match, initially teaming up to defeat their opponents, 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.  Despite their win, Ohio Dominican took the next two matches to go up, 1-0.

In singles play, Holsapple routed Emily Sampsel, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1, while Carna handled Katie Evans, 7-5, 6-3, at No. 2.

Their victories were the lone singles wins for the Jaguars, who won one game in the remaining four matches.

IUPUI will be back in action on Sunday, March 15, when they travel to Bowling Green State University, the alma mater of head coach Cameron Benjamin, for a match against the Falcons.  The matches are scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m. EST.
