MUNCIE, Ind. -- Making the trek up I-69 to the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center, the IUPUI men's tennis was swept by Ball State, 7-0, Saturday afternoon.
Bren Vasalakis was the only Jaguar to pick up a set in the match, falling in a super tie-break.
IUPUI (1-6) dropped the early doubles point when Ball State (3-2) swept the doubles matches.
Leading 1-0, the Cardinals took all six singles matches, with Vasalakis coming the closest to victory for the Jaguars. The freshman dropped his opening set, 1-6, before rallying to a 6-3 win over Shaun Bussert in the second set. In the the super tie-break, Vasalakis fell, 5-10.
The Jags will be back in action next Saturday, when they travel north on I-65 to take on Valparaiso. The matches will begin at 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET).
