INDIANAPOLIS -- Playing their most complete game of the season on Monday, the IUPUI women's basketball team will look to continue their strong play and move into a tie for third place in The Summit League when they take on North Dakota State on Saturday.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in The Jungle.

IUPUI (11-11, 6-5 Summit) scored a season-high 76 points in Monday's 23-point win at Southern Utah, as Jernisha Cann compiled her 16th double-double of the season, finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  The senior also had 5 steals, fueling IUPUI's aggressive defense that forced 18 Thunderbird turnovers and led to 25 Jaguar points.

Janna Eichelberger played her best game since November, slashing to the basket for a career-high 17 points and 8 rebounds, all in just 20 minutes of playing time.

In an up-and-down season, the Jags sit in fourth place in The Summit, trailing North Dakota State (9-10, 7-4 Summit) by just a single game for third.  One of IUPUI's five conference losses came to the Bison in Fargo, N.D., when NDSU cruised to a 61-41 win over the Jaguars on Jan. 12, 2009.

However, Cann missed that game due to injury, giving the Jaguars fresh hope that they can continue their trend of late-season surges into The Summit League Tournament.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and help "take a bite out of the bison" by attending "Jag-Gating" at the Food Court in the Campus Center.  Prior to the game, "Jag-Gating" will take place in the Food Court in the Campus Center from 1-4 p.m..  At 2 p.m., a "Bison Wing"-eating contest, sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings will take place.  Registration for the contest can be done online by clicking here.  Jag-Gating will feature free food for IUPUI students and giveaways throughout the afternoon.

The Athletics Department is asking fans to "Jam the Jungle" for the women's game, which tips off at 4:30 p.m..  Last season, IUPUI was the winner of the NCAA "Pack the House" challenge, and the department needs fans' help in repeating in 2009.  The winning school receives $500 from the NCAA to donate to a non-profit organization.  T-shirts and rally scrolls will be handed out to fans as well.

Fans can follow the game with their subscription to the IUPUI Live! package or via live stats.
