TULSA, Okla. -- With just five games remaining in the 2008-09 regular season, the IUPUI women's basketball team will look to solidify their chances for a top four seed in The Summit League Tournament when they take on Oral Roberts University on Saturday.  Tip-off from the Mabee Center is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. CT, and fans can follow the game on IUPUI Live!

IUPUI (12-12, 7-6 Summit) split their homestand last weekend, routing North Dakota State, 63-41, before falling to #20 South Dakota State, 64-48.  The Jaguars are currently fourth in The Summit League standings, a half game behind NDSU and a half game ahead of UMKC.

The Jaguars have won three of their last four meetings with Oral Roberts (11-12, 4-8 Summit), including a 68-49 win in the Mabee Center on Jan. 21, 2008.  In that game, Jernisha Cann had 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead IUPUI; in eight career meetings with the Golden Eagles, Cann is averaging 13.4 points and 10.1 boards, while Julia Whitted is posting 14.2 points and 11.4 rebounds.

Oral Roberts has dropped its last three games, including an overtime defeat at Oakland last Monday.  However, the Golden Eagles have been nearly impossible to beat at the Mabee Center, going 9-1 overall and 4-1 in Summit League play.

Janae Voelker continues to be among The Summit's top players, averaging 16.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.  Georgia Jones and Mariana Camargo have formed one of the conference's top backcourts, averaging 13.9 and 10.9 points per game, respectively.  Jones is also leading The Summit League with 3.9 assists per game.

ORU is averaging 6.4 three-pointers per game, making them one of the top three-point shooting teams in the NCAA.  In the teams' last meeting, the Jaguars held the Golden Eagles to a 2-for-14 mark in their 59-51 win at The Jungle.

The game will be part of the WBCA's Pink Zone efforts to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
