INDIANAPOLIS -- Looking to bounce back after a tough defeat in their Summit League opener, the IUPUI women's basketball team will try to turn the tables on South Dakota State when the two teams meet on Monday night.  Tip-off from The Jungle is scheduled for 7 p.m., and fans can catch the game live on IUPUIJags.com, with Scott Taylor on the call.

IUPUI (1-7, 0-1 Summit) dropped their conference opener to North Dakota State on Saturday, but took plenty of positives from the game, allowing for some optimism entering tonight's clash with South Dakota State (3-4, 1-0 Summit).

The Jaguars offense clicked in the first half on Saturday, helping IUPUI hang around while NDSU was burying three-pointers from nearly every spot on the court.  IUPUI outrebounded an opponent for the first time this season on Saturday, which will be a key component to tonight's game with the Jackrabbits.

SDSU returns three starters from last year's 2008-09 Summit League championship squad, led by Maria Boever, who paces the Jacks in points (15.0) and rebounds (7.6) per contest.  South Dakota State won their conference opener on Saturday, dispatching Western Illinois, 74-53, behind a balanced effort that saw three Jacks finish in double figures.

IUPUI has never defeated South Dakota State since the Jackrabbits joined The Summit League prior to the 2007-08 season, going 0-5 against SDSU in two years.  Last year, the Jacks ended the Jaguars' season, winning the conference tournament semifinal, 68-53, en route to the tournament title.

Fans can follow the game via Taylor's call on both video and audio platforms.  Live stats are available as well by clicking on the above link.
