LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Picking back up with their demanding non-conference schedule, the IUPUI women's basketball team will meet Louisville, the 2009 NCAA Tournament runner-up, on Sunday.  Tip-off from Freedom Hall is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

IUPUI (1-8) exploded for 77 points in their last game, an eight-point loss to 2009 NCAA Tournament participant South Dakota State.  The point total was the Jaguars' best of the 2009-10 season, leading to some optimism in the Jags' locker room that the struggles of the first eight games are being put to bed.

Jessica Huffman had a career-high 22 points, while Briannica Tye set a new career best with 18 points.  IUPUI was bolstered by the return to form of Julia Whitted, who had 12 points in her finest performance since returning from injury.

The Jaguars will be taking on Louisville for the first time since Dec. 13, 1986, which was the last of three meetings between the squads.  The then-Metros fell to the Cardinals, 88-62, at The Jungle.

A year after falling to Connecticut in the national championship game, Louisville (5-3) has run hot and cold through the first eight contests of the 2009-10 season, starting nine different players thus far.  The Cardinals defeated then-#25 Utah at Freedom Hall a week ago before dropping a home contest to Middle Tennessee State, 94-84, on Wednesday.
