Biography

LAST SEASON: 2008-09 [Junior]  Sat out the entire 2008-09 after transferring from Eastern Illinois ... Will be a junior in terms of athletic eligibility entering 2009-10 ... Earned a place on the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List in the fall and spring semesters.

2007-08 [Sophomore - EIU]  Huffman played in 26 games and started the first eight of the season … Missed the first four OVC games due to a leg injury ... Scored in double figures and made at least one 3-pointer in seven of the eight games she started … Opened the year with a season-high 24 points against Illinois, connecting on three 3-pointers … Saw her first significant action after returning from injury in the home loss to Tennessee-Martin, recording four assists in 12 minutes … Her best game in OVC play was at Tennessee Tech, registering 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes … Posted eight key points and six rebounds in the OVC Tournament win against Southeast Missouri … Gave EIU a lift off the bench on the Southeast Missouri-Murray State road trip, scoring seven points at SEMO and eight at Murray and making three 3-pointers total on the trip … Scored 10 points in just 15 minutes in the home win against Morehead State … Led the way with 20 points and four steals against Indiana State … Played 29 minutes against Illinois Tech, registering eight points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals.

2006-07 [Freshman- EIU]  OVC All-Newcomer Team … OVC Player of the Week (Jan. 2) … Six-time OVC Freshman of the Week … Huffman played in all 29 games and started 28 times … Believed to be the first EIU freshman to earn all-conference honors … Broke nine EIU freshman records: points; points per game; field goals, free throws and 3-pointers made and attempted; and steals … Ranked second among freshmen nationally in scoring for much of the year … Scored an EIU single-game record 38 points at home against Morehead State, shooting 14-of-23 from the field … That ranked as the top performance by an OVC player this year and was the top output by a freshman nationally much of the year … Attempted an EIU record 29 shots in the double overtime loss to Jacksonville State … Scored in double-figures in 26 of the 29 games and posted a team-high 10 20-point efforts … Connected on a buzzer beater at the end of the first overtime in loss to JSU … Tallied a season-high seven assists five times, including in each of the first three games … Registered a season-high six steals in the win over Illinois-Springfield … Made four 3-pointers in comeback win over Eastern Kentucky and loss at UT Martin … Connected on a season-high 11-of-14 free throws at Morehead State … Shot better than 50 percent from the field in three of her first four collegiate games … Scored 17 points in 18 minutes in the win at Tennessee Tech, connecting on 6-of-7 field goals … In the only game she came off the bench, she managed to score 19 points in the first half … Played 45 of the 50 minutes in the double overtime game against JSU … Made 28 of her 41 3-pointers in OVC play … Averaged a team-best 18.6 points per game at home … Led the team in scoring in the months of November (19.6), December (18.1) and January (16.8) … OVC Top 10 Rankings:  Third in scoring, fifth in steals, sixth in assists and 10th in 3-point percentage … National Rankings: 76th in scoring … EIU Single-Season Top 10 Rankings: Sixth in 3-pointers attempted, eighth in points, 10th in 3-pointers made and 10th in field goals attempted. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Huffman was a four-year letter-winner for coach Bill Hogue at Whiteland Community High School … Also lettered once in soccer … 2006 Indianapolis Star South Player of the Year … Daily Journal Player of the Year as a senior … Indiana Junior All-Star … Three-time Mid-State all-conference selection … Three-time first team all-county honoree … 2006 North-South and Hoosier Reunion All-Star games participant … Three-time top 100 workout … Top 40 workout in 2006 … WHS was Mid-State Conference champs in 2005 … Finished her career as the No. 2 all-time scorer in WHS history.
