BROOKINGS, S.D. -- After a difficult overtime defeat on Monday, the IUPUI women's basketball will look to rebound when they take on No. 23/23 (USA Today/ESPN, Associated Press) South Dakota State.  Tip-off from Frost Arena is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, with Greg Rakestraw handling play-by-play on XL 950-AM.

IUPUI (7-7, 2-1 Summit) dropped their first game at The Jungle on Monday in an 80-75 overtime defeat to UMKC.  Despite shooting over 40 percent in the game and placing three players in double figures, the Jaguars committed 23 turnovers, leading to their own demise.

For the 13th straight game, Jernisha Cann tallied a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Cann, who was named The Summit League's December Female Athlete of the Month on Friday, is averaging 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in 2008-09.

Last season, the Jaguars dropped both games against the Jackrabbits, including a 68-44 defeat at Frost Arena on Feb. 11, 2008.

South Dakota State (14-2, 3-1 Summit) is The Summit's first ranked team since Northern Illinois cracked the polls in the 1993-94 campaign.  Like IUPUI, the Jackrabbits are coming off a defeat in their last contest, as they fell at Oakland, 67-51.

The Jackrabbits are led by senior Jennifer Warkenthien, who is averaging 12.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest.  South Dakota State features one of the most balanced lineups in the nation, as six players average 7.0 points or more.
