PEORIA, Ill. -- Continuing their road trip to start the season, the IUPUI men's tennis team fell to Bradley, 5-2, at the Clubs at River City on Saturday afternoon.
Jorge Yunes and
Taylor Tunis picked up singles wins for the Jaguars.
IUPUI (1-5) dropped the early doubles point, by dropping two of three doubles matches. Tunis and
Gregory Sosa narrowly fell at No. 2, 8-9, while Yunes and #E.J. Dechow# won their match at No. 3, 8-5. Playing No. 1,
Daniel Klingenberg and
Bren Vasalakis lost, 4-8.
Tunis continued his strong play, picking up a win at No. 6 singles, 7-6, 3-6, 10-7. Yunes also won in a super tiebreak, winning his match at No. 5, 6-3, 3-6, 10-7.
At No. 2, Klingenberg narrowly lost, 2-6, 6-4, 7-10.
The Jaguars will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 7, when they head north to battle Ball State. The matches are slatted to begin at 1:00 p.m. ET.
