MILWAUKEE -- The IUPUI men's tennis team could not overcome Marquette on Saturday, falling 7-0 at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. The Jaguars were not able to take a set off the Golden Eagles.
IUPUI (0-2) lost their second straight match of the early season, with
Bren Vasalakis coming closest to victory for the Jaguars. The Yorktown, Ind.-native fell, 3-6, 3-6, at No. 4 singles. Playing at No. 6 singles,
Taylor Tunis fell, 4-6, 1-6.
In doubles play, Marquette swept IUPUI to pick up an early lead.
The Jaguars will practice during the week before heading north on I-65 to Chicago. There, IUPUI will battle Illinois-Chicago, with the match beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT.
