INDIANAPOLIS -- The IUPUI men's tennis team opened their spring season on Friday night, falling to SIU-Edwardsville, 4-3, at the Indianapolis Tennis Center.  #E.J. Dechow# notched one of three Jaguars' wins, picking up the victory at No. 3 singles.

IUPUI (0-1) dropped two of three doubles matches to fall into an early 1-0 hole.  Jorge Yunes and Dechow won at No. 3, 8-4.

In singles, Dechow picked up IUPUI's first point, winning 6-2, 6-3.  Making his collegiate debut, Taylor Tunis won at No. 6, 6-0, 6-3.  Jorge Yunes picked up IUPUI's final point of the evening, winning 6-1, 6-4, at No. 5 singles.

The Jaguars will head north to Milwaukee, Wis., on Saturday, where they will take on Marquette.  The matches are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET.
