BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The IUPUI men’s tennis team warmed up for the spring season with a tune up at the 2008 Hoosier Invitational last weekend.  With four Jaguars getting their feet wet, the trip to take on some of the Midwest’s best competition proved worthwhile.

The Jaguars struggled in singles play, with only three IUPUI players recording wins, all in the loser’s draw.  Still, Jorge Yunes, Jesus Diaz and Taylor Tunis recorded wins for the Jags, with Tunis picking up his first collegiate win.

In doubles play, the Jags played well, with each partnership taking at least one win.  #E.J. Dechow# and Yunes partnered to go 1-2, while Tunis and Diaz were 2-3, as were Fernando Freitas and Brett Klingenberg.  Gregory Sosa and Bren Vasalakis were one of the top teams in the field, going 3-1 in doubles play.
