TULSA, Okla. -- Looking to secure their first-ever appearance in The Summit League Tournament Finals, the third-seeded IUPUI women's basketball team will take on seventh-seeded UMKC on Monday afternoon from the John Q. Hammons Arena at the UMAC.  Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 EST, and IUPUI fans can listen to the game live at IUPUIJags.com.

IUPUI (16-15, 11-7 Summit) advanced to Monday's semifinal with a resounding 62-34 win over Southern Utah on Sunday afternoon.  Julia Whitted led all players with 18 points, while Jernisha Cann ripped down 16 rebounds.  The duo achieved double-doubles in the same game for the sixth time this season.

The Jaguars have won their last four games in which Cann and Whitted have achieved the feat.

IUPUI also put forth an outstanding defensive effort, holding Southern Utah to 25.0 percent shooting and just 34 points, the lowest total in The Summit League Tournament's history.  The Jags outrebounded the T-birds, 47-31, behind Cann and Whitted.

UMKC (11-19, 3-15 Summit) upset No. 2 seed Western Illinois, 62-55, on Friday to move into the semifinal.  The Kangaroos are led by senior Alysa Klein and sophomore Chazny Morris, who average 15.1 and 17.7 points per game, respectively.

The two teams met twice in the regular season, with IUPUI coming away victorious in both contests.  In Kansas City, Mo., on Jan. 7, Nicole James had a career-high 18 points in helping IUPUI to 56-51 win over the 'Roos.  At The Jungle, James, Cann and Whitted all finished in double figures as a superb defensive effort led to a 65-46 Jaguar win on Feb. 2.

IUPUI fans can follow the game via audio or video.  SummitTV will carry the game at www.thesummitleague.org, while Greg Rakestraw will provide complete play-by-play of the game at www.IUPUIJags.com.
